Tata Power Solar commissions 20 kW project for Raj Auto 21st April, 2016

The net metering project will enabletheshowroom to run on 100% green power

Tata Power Solar,India’s largest integrated solar company, has successfully commissioned a 20kW solar rooftop project for Raj Auto, a Hero MotoCorpshowroom,inAurangabad. The net metering policy has been recently introduced by the Maharashtra Government this year and the20kW project is one of the first such implementations of its kind in the state.

With the completion of this solar project, Tata Power Solar has helpedRaj Auto meet100% ofits power requirement through renewable energy.The 20kW rooftop project set up in the showroomhas used 80 solar panels, manufactured by Tata Power Solar,and will generate 33,000units of power and offset23 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.

Speaking on the project, Ashish Khanna, ED & CEO, Tata Power Solar, said, “With the Maharashtra Government encouraging net metering systems through its recent state policy, we see great potential for commercial entities shifting from conventional power sources to solar. Last year, Tata Power Solar launched the ‘Tata Solar Dynamo’ series of rooftopgrid-tie systems exclusively for the residential and SME rooftop market.This systemenables rooftop consumers to generate clean power as well as save on electricity bills for up to 25 long years.
