Tata Power Solar was honored with the EFY Readers’ Choice Award 2013 as the top brand in the category of Solar panels/modules in March’14 at the Le Meridien Hotel, Bengaluru. These awards are instituted by EFY Group (publishers of electronics magazines like Electronics For You and Electronics Bazaar) to recognise brands, organisations and individuals that are leaders in their respective segments within the Indian electronics industry.

March 2014 was observed as the Safety Month at Tata Power Solar. To reinforce the importance of safety, various competitions and exhibitions were held, internal campaigns and training were conducted. 4th March which is celebrated as National Safety day every year, saw celebrations in the form of flag hoisting and taking of the safety oath by all employees.

Tata Power Solar celebrated the Tata Engage Week between 3rd and 7th of March 2014. Tata Engage is a Tata group wide initiative to encourage, motivate and engage its people in the joy of giving. As part of this, Tata Power Solar ran a donation drive within the company urging the employees to donate clothes, medicines, toys, stationeries etc. The drive saw an overwhelming participation from the employees. The donations collected was donated to the under privileged children at Lovedale Foundation on their Annual Day.

Tata Power Solar celebrated Kanna Rajyotsava on March 14th, 2014 at the Symbiosis auditorium, Bangalore. The event was a huge success, all the employees gathered at the venue for a fulfilled evening, with a variety of cultural programs and a stand-up comedy act. The event was presided by Mr. B R Lakshmana Rao (noted writer, poet and lyricist) and the chief guest at the event was Mr. Jaraganahalli Shivashankar (Former Honourable Secretary, Kannada Sahitya Parishath and a noted poet and writer).

on Saturday, 2nd Aug 2014 at Innovative Film City, Bidadi. It was a memorable day and fun

filled day with games and activities for our employees and their family members.

A team of volunteers visited "Government high school, Konappana Agrahara, Electronics city" on 9th Sep 2014 and conducted Safety, health and hygiene awareness session for middle school and high school students. The aim of this initiative was to help students gain awareness on Road safety, Electrical safety, LPG safety, Emergency evacuation, Health and Hygiene.

The students were very enthusiastic and also asked the volunteers questions on safety and health. It was a gratifying experience for the volunteers as well.

A team of volunteers visited "Little sisters of the poor - Old age home" at Hosur road on 10th Sep 2014.

Volunteers had an opportunity to listen about the history of the old age home, trying times the old age people go through and how they run the old age home. Volunteers personally interacted with the old age people who shared their life's personal experience. Our visit to the old age home brought about lots of cheer to them. Our volunteers personally served lunch to the old people and also helped in washing the utensils. Some of our volunteers also bought handicrafts made by the old age people. One of the old age sister sang a beautiful song for us as a thanking gesture.

We sponsored lunch and medicines for all the old age people. In return, all the volunteers received their blessings and a thanking smile that will be a memory with us for our life time.

It was a fulfilling experience for the volunteers who participated and some of us wanting to visit the place again.

Our volunteers would like to specially thank all the employees who volunteered to contribute for this unique cause.

Employees from Tata Power Solar volunteered for Blood donation drive during the Tata Volunteering week on 12th Sep 2014. We had an encouraging response with 40 employees happily donating blood to save lives of people. Each donor was given a certificate of appreciation from “Sankalp India Foundation” who partnered with us in conducting the blood donation drive. We are awaiting the donor names and shall publish it soon in this section.

Tata Power Solar employees participated wholeheartedly in ourvolunteering month. As part of the Tata Engage program, teams of enthusiastic volunteers covered a wide range of concern areas by visiting an orphanage, an old age home, a school for specially-abled & a government school.

The volunteers visited "Little sisters of the poor" – an old age home, which provides shelter to 110 old age people. The seniors were personally served a special lunch by our employees & our team helped them with post-lunch cleaning. The seniors shared their life experiences with the employees.

Our employees also visited "Anatha Shishu Nivasa Orphanage", where they contributed funds towards buying school uniforms for all the children for the coming school year.

Our teams participated in a cleaning drive at the "Government Higher Primary School" campus and educated the school children on the importance of cleanliness. The volunteers have also taken up a project of connecting the water pipeline to provide for water storage and drinking water facility which will benefit the school children. Additionally, we have volunteered to build benches for the school children which will be custom-made by our employees in our manufacturing plant.

At "Sneha Bharati Sikshana Samste" – a school for specially-abled, our employees donated round tables and seating facility to the school which were custom-made by our own employees, sparing time from their working hours.

Tata Power Solar is committed towards providing a conducive workplace to all employees. An important aspect in this is a workplace with gender equality and free from any discrimination or harassment. To promote and spread awareness on this aspect, the Prevention of Sexual Harassment team recently conducted quizzes & sessions at our offices. We had a POSH awareness session delivered to our Noida employees, followed with a power-packed quiz contest. The contest received an energetic participation with an exchange of thoughts. At Bangalore, an interactive on-spot quiz was organized, where employees were quizzed on their understanding of the POSH policy.

    Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited achieved a significant milestone by signing two MoUs with the Government of Tamil Nadu. The first MoU outlines plans to develop 10,000 MW of Renewable Energy Power Projects, creating potential investments of Rs 70,000 crores, generating 3,000 green jobs.     - Partnership to Build a Skilled Workforce

    TP Solar Ltd has signed an MoU with the District Skill Training Office, Tirunelveli to enable local youth and women in the region, through skilling in multiple domain areas, in association with the company’s 4GW Cell and Module Manufacturing plant in Gangaikondan.

    - India's First Mono Perc Cell handed over by Tata Power Solar

    Tata Power Solar creates history by producing India's First Mono Perc Cell of 166mm & handed over the first cell to the Honourable Minister for Electricity, Kerala, Shri. K. Krishnankutty on 19th of October 2022. The event took place at Thiruvananthapuram Minister Office, Kerala to celebrate and appreciate the states’ commitment towards renewable energy and successful implementation of significant projects in Phases 1&2 of the KSEB (Kerala State Electricity Board) SOURA Rooftop Solar project. The state ministry applauds Tata Power Solar’s commitment and devotion to promote sustainable energy in the country. The ministry expresses its desire, that Tata Power Solar should participate in future green initiative projects like Solar Pumps, the Micro Hydro Project, and various ANERT projects.

    - A historic Win for Tata Power Solar

    India's largest solar EPC order bagged by Tata Power Solar. Tata Power Solar steps forward in the mission to contribute to India’s sustainability goals by adding one of the biggest solar EPC projects to our name with SJVN Limited issuing LOA for the EPC order of 1GW for INR 5500 Cr. This EPC order has been designed keeping in mind the innovative use of ‘Make in India’ cells and modules. The project will be developed under the CPSU scheme of MNRE and will be completed within a period of 24months. Covering around 5000+ acres of land in Rajasthan, this project aims at reducing around 22,87,128kg of carbon emission and is expected to generate around 2500 million units annually.
